Heavy – doomsters BRITON RITES return
December 1st, 2020 marks the day of the return of BRITON RITES. The American heavy/doom metal outfit was put to rest in 2014 by its creator, guitarist extraordinaire, Howie Bentley. Now they are back with the first single off the upcoming record: The Masque Of Satan. There is no cover art for the single. BRITON RITES are presenting the fragments of the “Occulte Fantastique” full-length artwork instead.
“It’s close to Witchfinder General, but it’s our way of heavy doom metal” says Bentley, known also from a cult Cauldron Born and as a fantasy writer.
BRITON RITES 2020 include also Phil Swanson, the vocalist (Seamount, Sumerlands, Vestal Claret, ex-Atlantean Kodex, Hour of 13), and the rhythm section of Corbin King and John Leeson.
“Occulte Fantastique” is set to be released on December 18th, 2020 via Echoes Of Crom Records.
